I chose for my socks is the face of a clock. Time passes slowly when knitting the leg of a plain sock. I find myself looking forward to reaching the heel.
Because the heel can be knit apart from the sock, I decided to make it interesting by fitting small designs into the flap.
I call it Halftime Relief.
For these socks I used embroidery but a textured pattern or a colour motif works even better. I encourage you to take some time and try your own idea.
