I was recently a guest on the Gift Biz Unwrapped Podcast by Sue Monhait and she began with a traditional question she asks of each guest about their motivational candle. She asked me, “What colour would your candle be, and which words of wisdom would you write on it?”
I was so delighted by this question because I believe that words are powerful. So powerful in fact, that I have them strategically placed in vignettes around my studio and I integrate them into much of my art quilting. From a wooden sign to a quilt label, to quilting an entire art piece in 1950s song titles, words can add an element of gratitude and wisdom into your life.
