Water Resistant Lunch Bag

Going to school is always a special time. So when I was looking for a gift idea, I thought about my grandchildren. I always like to give them something special for back to school; my granddaughter was so excited to go to Grade 1 and stay for lunch. I combined her excitement for staying for lunch, her love of butterflies and the colour purple, and my love to embellish fabric, to create a one-of-a-kind water resistant, insulated lunch.

Using Gütermann cotton thread, new Odicoat from Odif and Unique Quilting Therm Fleece, this bag will keep the lunch cool or warm and is easy to wipe clean.

Odif Odicoat protects your fabrics and projects. It’s resistant to water and stains, and is great to use for placemats, bags, aprons, tablecloths and more.

Have fun and create your own bag using those left-over pieces in your stash. You can use my measurements or change the size, make it water resistant or not, the choice is yours.
