With a life long passion for all things creative, and way too many creative outlets to list, I have always returned to sewing and quilting. As a previous quilt shop owner, I know the lure of beautiful fabrics, fresh designs and inspiring projects that so many of us can never resist, and nor would we want to!
The north wind brings change, and Northwind Designs, while respecting the tradition of quilting, brings a fresh change and renewal to modern quilting. As a quiltmaker for many years, I feel inspired and take comfort in knowing that so many quilters of all ages continue to embrace the craft with fresh designs and fabrics, keeping the art of quiltmaking alive and flourishing!
I hope you enjoy making this runner as much as I did, using this new collection called Recess and Ketan, part of the new Banyan Batik fabric collection from Northcott Silk Inc., a Canadian fabric company.
Make this fun project on a rainy day or ‘for’ a rainy day! This runner reminds me of playing hopscotch many years ago, a real neighbourhood favourite. We also love using this runner as a scoreboard for our family card games!
