Criss Cross Quilt

I grew up on a hobby farm, with horses and cows, chickens and rabbits. My childhood memories are filled with time spent in the barn on our property – feeding and grooming the animals, polishing the horse tack, and cleaning the stables. Now, as an adult and far from the family farm, the scent of hay immediately takes me back to the old barn and those fond memories! A barn door is the inspiration for this small lap quilt – the ‘crisscross’ of the door’s frame is an interesting detail that makes great lines on a modern quilt!
