Spring brings lightness to the heart that has inspired poets and musicians for centuries and often the words involve love and desire. Who can forget Dean Martin singing “That’s amore!”? Quilt designer Lori Albertson taps into our connection between love and spring with her body pillow that will inspire a nesting desire in the maker or the recipient, if the pillow is a gift. Emblazoned with the word “amour” and flowers, the perennial symbol of love, the body pillow, made in soft romantic colours, will adorn a bed invitingly.
“This is an easy project and it will stretch across a bed, dressing it up and adding a pretty accent to your bedroom,” the Calgary designer says. “This project can be made quickly and I encourage everyone who makes one to add their own ideas and decorations.”
