Victorian Christmas Lace Tea Cozy & Tea Towel Set

Christmas is my favorite time of year with all the stores decked out in their finest bling and glitter, trees all lit up and carols being sung. What’s not to like about the season?

In my family, we always made a special gift or two when we were young and I have kept up that tradition. Today, I like to design and make practical items. The Victorian Christmas Lace tea cozy is no exception.

This cozy is made in 2 parts: the cover and the lining (the cozy part that can be washed). Let your mind wander on all the possibilities of covers in various needle craft formats! But for this project we’ll be weaving the cover and making a matching tea towel. The tea cozy and tea towel work up fast and can be matched with some lovely placemats and maybe a table runner.

They make wonderful Christmas gift sets.
