The Knitting Nimrod Collective is overflowing with wonderful, colourful yarns, many of which can be seen in finished samples to inspire you. It fills a spacious 1,800 square foot loft in an operating, family-owned hat factory overlooking the Moira River in downtown Belleville. The Collective serves as a gathering point for all things knitted and crocheted and for those who can’t live without yarn on their needles.
There is no end of inspiration in this shop. One-on-one private lessons ensure that each person who picks up needles will go away with an understanding of the technique and the project. “People tell us where they are in their development and what they would like and we help them get there,” says the shop’s co-owner Elizabeth Shantz. She teaches crochet and her partner Ilze Abolins teaches all things knitting.
The Knitting Nimrod Collective offers a full line of products for knitting and crochet projects with all the needles, hooks and accessories needed to make the process smooth and fun. “We carry quality tools and needles, like Brittany, bamboo and Denise Interchangeable sets, and we encourage our customers to try them because they really can make a difference,” Elizabeth continue.
