On a winter’s day, in the northern forest, one can hear the call and soft chatter of the Grey Jay.
Composing My Feathered Friend on linen, with a special blend of hand dyed and cut woolen fabric, was a direct call and my response to nature. Exploring and going beneath the surface to express the sometimes silence and purity of the Grey Jay’s presence.
Nature is everywhere in art,
providing us with many textures, colours and sounds.
