I know I’m repeating myself, but I do have an ongoing love affair with bright colours. As the theme of this Issue is ‘neutral with a pop of colour’ it was only natural that I would submit a quilt for inclusion in this issue. I usually pair my bright coloured fabrics with a black or a white background; so, when I started designing this layout using a quilt design software I decided to play with a variety of background colours just for the fun of it. I was totally amazed to discover how different backgrounds completely change the look of the quilt. It was a difficult choice but, in the end, I felt that using this taupe-coloured fabric was going to yield the most attractive contrast.
