Fantasy Garden Hooked Rug

Fantasy Garden by Cindy Everett is an intermediate rug hooking project inspired by flower filled meadows, bright summer color, and chintz fabric designs. Finished at 30″ x 45″, this lush hooked rug uses yarn and wool on linen or burlap backing, giving the finished piece a soft, textured look. The design includes bold leaves, flowers, borders, veins, highlights, and optional French knots along the edge for added interest. Skills include enlarging and transferring a rug pattern, preparing backing, hooking with yarn, working with value and texture, creating outlines and depth, steaming, trimming, whip stitching, and finishing.
