Cotton Candy Quilt

Cotton Candy Lap Quilt by Laurel Francis is an intermediate quilting project inspired by summer flowers and adapted from a rug design by Cindy Everett. Finished at 57″ x 57″, this bright lap quilt combines a large floral fusible appliqué center with half square triangle borders and decorative machine stitching. The raw edge appliqué can also be stitched by hand, making the design adaptable to your preferred method. Skills include preparing appliqué templates, using fusible web, arranging layered floral motifs, machine or hand blanket stitching, making half square triangles, assembling borders, free motion or hand quilting, trimming, and binding.
