Strawberry Delight Quilt

Strawberry Delight by Christine Alexiou is an intermediate fibre art project inspired by the lush summer berries found at local farmers’ markets. Finished at 12″ x 12″, this cheerful design uses fabric paints to create a whole-cloth strawberry image, then adds free-motion stitching, thread shading, fabric snippets, and bead embellishment for texture and depth. The pattern can be finished as a small art quilt, cushion cover, framed piece, or wall art. Skills include fabric painting, tracing, colour blending, dry brushing, free motion stitching, machine embroidery, quilting, binding, and hand beading.
