Spring Crocus Table Topper
US$9.95
Spring Crocus by Hilary Rice is an intermediate fibre art project inspired by spring flowers, curved petals, and the fresh movement of the season. Finished at 16½” in diameter, this round piece can be used as a table topper or wall quilt. Hilary’s top stitched curved piecing method uses freezer paper, a muslin foundation, hand dyed cottons, monofilament thread, and machine appliqué style stitching to build the design like a jigsaw puzzle. Skills include tracing, freezer paper preparation, curved appliqué, bias stem insertion, top stitching, bobbin stitched tendrils, satin stitching, backing, turning, quilting, and finishing.
