There is a Season Quilt

There is a Season art quilt by Janine Zeck is an intermediate fibre art project inspired by the brilliant fall landscape near Claremont, Ontario. Using a photograph as the starting point, this project guides makers through translating blocks of colour into fabric shapes, then assembling them with fusible web and machine stitching. There’s no fixed finished size because the project begins with the photo or image size chosen by the maker. Skills include image selection, fabric matching, stabilizing, tracing, cutting, fusible appliqué, satin stitching, zigzag stitching, adding borders, and stretching or framing the finished artwork.
