Issue 55 celebrates the beauty and quiet power of trees through needlework. I’ve loved trees all my life. The way sunlight sparkles through leaves, the sound of wind moving through branches, and the calm they bring. This issue was inspired in part by the fascinating idea that forests are connected systems, with trees communicating and supporting one another beneath the surface. Our contributors interpreted this theme in their own creative ways, using a variety of techniques and projects that invite you to stitch, quilt, knit, and create “in good company.” If you love nature, texture, and thoughtful making, this issue is for you.
