Jo Gatenby continues her love affair with frameless framing in this enchanting design. Notice that the stitching isn’t centered on the frame. The moon is grounded, just rising above the horizon and the children are not stitched allowing the fabric to show through to create the figure. This is called Assisi embroidery, with a cross stitched background. To make the figures smooth, ¾ stitches are used, rather than backstitching.
