Groovy Girl Jeans

Groovy Girl Jeans by Linda Hall is an intermediate creative sewing project that turns ordinary denim jeans into a wearable fabric collage. Using themed prints, coordinating background fabrics and hand embroidery, this project invites makers to personalize their jeans with colour, texture and playful design. The technique is flexible, so the finished size depends on the jeans and fabric motifs selected. Makers will practise choosing and arranging feature fabrics, preparing turned appliqué edges, spot gluing pieces in place, layering background and theme fabrics, hand stitching each fabric section and adding straight stitch, cross stitch, herringbone stitch and French knot details for a one of a kind finish.
