De Morgan Project Pouch

This project pouch celebrates the historical designs of William De Morgan and the value of the handmade. The lustre of silk fabrics and rayon threads was chosen to provide richness and tactility that aim to honour his work. The front panel appliqué builds the colourful design motifs inspired by his florals and foliage. Free motion embroidery adds practical and decorative stitched details. The pouch is lightly quilted and lined and closes with a zipper. The project can also be made in your choices of colours/materials, such as mid-weight cotton, linen, or wool.
