Autumn Swirl Pin

Autumn Swirl Pin by Geneviève Crabe is an intermediate bead embroidery project inspired by swirling autumn leaves and bold fall colour. Finished as a 3″ diameter circle, this wearable pin is worked on Lacy’s Stiff Stuff, painted with metallic gold acrylic paint, then embroidered with size 8 and size 11 seed beads plus fire polish beads. The project is backed with faux suede and finished with a beaded edge and pin back. Step-by-step photo instructions included. Skills include painting a beading surface, single-bead stitch, backstitch, stack stitch, bead placement, edge finishing, and assembling a sturdy pin that can also be worn as a pendant.
