Underwater Treasures Part 2: Starfish Pincushion by Three Swans Studios is a beginner friendly embroidery and fibre art project worked on wool felt. Finished at approximately 4½” [11.5cm] across, this charming starfish can be used as a pincushion, ornament, gift tag accent, door fob, mobile piece, napkin ring decoration, or bowl filler. Makers will practise transferring a pattern to wool felt, working stem stitch, adding three wrap French knots, stitching bugle beads, sewing and stuffing the starfish shape, closing the opening by hand, and finishing the edge with a simple scalloped bead sequence.
