Hardanger Heart Sampler

Hardanger Heart Sampler by Kim Beamish is an intermediate to advanced embroidery project that combines the elegance of traditional whitework with the structure of a band sampler. Finished at approximately 5″ x 7″ on 28 count Cashel linen, or 7″ x 9″ with hemstitching, this design features delicate hearts, openwork bands, and classic Hardanger texture. Stitches include Algerian eyelet, double running stitch, dove’s eye, hemstitch, kloster, ladder stitch, lattice stitch, needle woven bars, and satin stitch. Skills include counted thread work, kloster placement, thread cutting, withdrawn threads, needle weaving, eyelets, hemstitching, and finishing.
