A fabric postcard can be a great way to challenge yourself with multiple quilting techniques. If you want to explore something new the postcard is a small, achievable way to make it happen while using up scraps and supplies you have on hand. Try to create your handmade postcard, it’s easy and fun! Here is a pattern for making quilted fabric postcards using 3 methods: strip-pieced hexagons with matchstick quilting, raw edge hexagons with echo stitch, and EPP hand-pieced hexagons. Instructions are based on 4” x 6” cards, but if you wish to explore the technique further you can expand on the size.
