Canterbury Rose Stained Glass Quilt by Susan Purney Mark and Daphne Greig is an easy quilting project that creates the look of stained glass with fabric. Finished at 16″ x 14″ [40cm x 35cm], this elegant rose window design uses fusible web, black fabric leading, a focus fabric, borders, zigzag stitching and binding. The designers’ Too Easy Stained Glass method offers a quicker alternative to more elaborate stained glass techniques such as bias tape appliqué. Quilters will practise tracing and cutting a window leading pattern, fusing fabric layers, stitching raw edges, quilting through the leading, adding borders and finishing the quilt.
