The result was amazing creativity. We received 67 entries in total from across Canada and the U.S.
Participants had the choice of having their blocks returned to them or donating them to be made into a quilt at the end of the exhibit. Prairie Women on Snowmobiles is a non-profit organization whose annual mission is breast cancer awareness events, the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Canadian women and the second most common cause of cancer death in women. Prairie Women on Snowmobiles have contributed 100% of the funds raised in the past 14 missions to the Canadian Cancer Society, providing more than $2 million in support of breast cancer research.
