Celtic Flower Bags

Celtic Flower Bags by Martina Munroe is an intermediate knitting pattern inspired by Celtic design and vintage purse shapes. The pattern includes two felted bag sizes: the large bag measures approximately 12″ x 5″ at the base and 9½” high, and the small bag measures approximately 8″ x 3½” at the base and 5½” high. Skills involved include knitting in the round, charted colourwork, shaping, picking up stitches, I-cord cast-off, knitting a handle, sewing the handle in place, weaving in ends, and felting. The needlework technique used is felted knitting.
