These pincushions are based on a long ago summer camp craft project. Back then, we used empty frozen juice cans. I found these pottery pieces on a trip to a local thrift store for less than $1. You can use cups and saucers too. Just glue the cup to the saucer with some seriously strong glue. The saucer can corral stray buttons, a bobbin or two, or provide a resting place for scissors.
