Back in 2009, I participated in a bookmark exchange with the online tatting group, In Tatters. I wanted to do something unique for my partner, so I looked through many books and patterns online and found an edging in the book Tatting Patterns by the staff of WorkBasket Magazine which ultimately inspired the design of this bookmark. Many people think tatting is beautiful, but they aren’t so fond of doilies. Bookmarks are an effective way to showcase tatting and create an item for yourself or friends that will be appreciated for its beauty, strength and practicality.
