Checking it Twice!
Santa works behind the scenes all year long, but it’s in the fall that he buckles down on his list! You better watch out, you better not cry, ‘cause Santa is making his list and checking it twice. Oh yeah! Santa Claus is coming to town.

Gone Stitchin’
This design was inspired by a number of things: my discussions with Carla, a pile of junk at a charity auction, the model stitcher thinking a cat would be a cool addition, and my husband’s suggestion for more colour. It all came together in Gone Stitchin’, of which I’m justifiably proud of – hope you like it too! - Jo Gatenby

Madi’s Wrap and Wendy’s Comfort Me Blanket
Sometimes we can fall in love with a scarf or wrap so much, we want to make it into a blanket. That was the thought Wendy of The Yarn Store had when she finished crocheting Madi’s wrap. She was taken by the lustrous and soft cotton and alpaca yarn and wanted a bigger piece for extra comfort.

Summer Lace Tunic
There's comfort in a garment made of linen, almost like a second skin to keep the body cool and dry on a muggy day. The lace pattern offers extra breezy comfort at the beach or lazying around at home.

She Wears Seashells Cover Up
This is a very clever summer cover-up! It’s designed with a sideways knit yoke and mesh sleeves and body. The knitting starts with the yoke, then stitches are picked up and the rest is knit downwards. Why not knit a coordinating pair of seashell earrings to match?

Kokimono Reading Jacket
In keeping with our “me time” theme, this reading jacket was designed for comfort. Worked in a cotton yarn, it is “summertime cozy”. For a more wintery version, choose a nice, medium (worsted) weight wool. To accommodate today’s technology, the sleeves have been designed to be roomy enough to hold an iPod ®, MP3 player or cell phone so that you can choose to have your phone handy or to add music while you read.

Time for Me Lapghan
A jacket kit in deep ocean blues inspired the original version of this lapghan. Worked in traditional Shetland pattern called Old Shale, adapting the 12-row repeat to an 11 row repeat makes the robe reversible. This incarnation of the same pattern uses a summery cotton/acrylic bouclé with a soft cream mohair blend to make the frothy crests to the ‘waves’. This pattern really is easy enough for a beginner.

Victorian Sewing Pouch
In our sewing pouch we incorporated the edelweiss to represent Uschi’s German heritage. The tiny white flower is a symbol of courage and purity. The ladybug is for Kerry’s Irish ancestors, symbolizing protection and good fortune.
The lily of the valley is a symbol of sweetness and happiness and the pearl represents wisdom, women, and faith.
